Recorded out a window of a trailer looking on a yard with some tropical vegetation. C. gundlachi is the rhythmic, bell-like tinkling chirps with paired pulses. Found throughout Florida year-round, these were very common in the Upper Keys as well as on the adjacent mainland. In season they can co-occur with the more northerly C. columbiana, although I never heard the latter on this trip. Both species are arboreal and rarely seen, but extremely numerous as their nighttime choruses reveal. I did not hear these as much in the daytime as I hear C. columbiana during summer in New York.
