Redescription

Content:  Vertexial fastigium digitiform, porrect or deflexed, overhanging the small conical dorsally-developed frontal fastigium; compound eyes of mediam size; pronotal carinae always angulate posteriorly, rounded, anglate or elevated anteriorly; pronotal lobes deeper than wide, ventrally rounded; tegminae large, broad, anterior branch of Rs reaching margin at apex; procoxal spine reduced or absent; anterior tympanal aperture always more than 15% of tibial width; legs without foliaceus developments, metatibia an isosceles triangle in cross-section; meso- and metathoracic sternal lobes pointed posteriorly. Male stridulatory file long, arcuate, with between 100 and 560 teeth; cerci proximally straight but distally inflected and terminanting in a pair of small spines; subgenital plate simple, with shallow ventral keel, with the short styliform processes articulated or fused; aedeagus entirely membranous, no epiphallic sclerites; tergite ten simple. Female larger than male, tegminae relatively broader; subgenital plate triangular, apically rounded and incised with median longitudinal impression and triangular depression at base; basal plates not elevated with strong ventral impression, posteriorly arcuate; ovipositor short, strongly upturned basally, apically bluntly pointed.

Size range. - Total length from 50-100 mm.

Color. - Green; with or without darker markings on the legs; always with the posterior and posterolateral margins of the pronotal disc black and with a dark line across tegminae where they abut against pronotum; apex of vertixial fastigium dorsally white, ventrally brown; flagellum of antenna brown.
