In Benito Juarez county, southern Buenos Aires province, Covasacris pallidinota exhibits a strong association with halophylous communities (Torrusio et al.,2002). In that county, it was one of the three species that showed the highest densities during 1997-2002 (de Wysiecki et al., 2004). However during the outbreak in 2001 recorded in the same county, C. pallidinota was the only species that showed a significant decrease in its relative abundance (Cigliano et al.,2002)
Wild gramineous plants in natural fields. Halophylous species (Distichlis spicata, Hordeum euclaston, Puccinellia glaucescens, Sisyrinchium sp, Spergula vilosa).
