Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

This species is named after Dr. Ferdinand Willemse (the name willemsei is already preoccupied in Chorthippus willemsei Harz), who collected most of the specimens in six of seven known localities, recorded the songs of several males, and noticed for the first time that the specimens from Peloponnesus are different from other specimens of this group (Willemse 1985).
