Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

Latin, emarginatus, emarginate. No explanation was given in the original description but in the key to species, the male subgenital plate is described as "triangulariter emarginata" to contrast the same structure "in lobos duos acuminatos extensa" of Dichopetala mexicana.
