Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

Derived from gruna, a traditional local term used to refer to caves in the Serra do Ramalho region, southwestern Bahia, where the type species was collected, combined with gryllus (Latin for cricket), an element commonly associated with cricket taxa, particularly genera assigned to the subtribe Paragryllina.
