Gender, form, and etymology
Etymology:

The spiniform inner teeth on basal area of male cercus hides under the tenth abdominal tergite when they are alive. Crypto- means hidden, comes from the Greek word kruptós. Cryptospina refers to the hidden spiniform inner teeth placed in basal area of male cercus.
