Scrutiny
- The lectotype from Orizaba designated by Roberts 1947 and apparently selected by the curator Carl has not been labeled accordingly. The male from Cuantla with wings on one side expanded and labeled as hololectotype by Carbonell (based on coinciding original description and measurements) is not the same as the male from Orizaba with folded wings treated as lectotype in Hollier 2012. Both Roberts 1947 and Hollier 2012 only mention 3 males from Orizaba, while Carbonell 1966 (unpublished notes on types of Acridoidea) reports a large series of specimens from Mexico, Texas, and Costa Rica in the MHNG collection.
