  • Amédégnato, 1974 indicated preference for Proctolabinae because Coscineuta is atypical for the subfamily. Although the Code of Zoological Nomenclature requires that Coscineutinae be recognized as a senior synonym, orthopterists have generally accepted Proctolabinae. A ruling by the Commission may be required to put the matter to rest. Eades, 2009
