Gender, form, and etymology
Etymology:
This name derives from a fusion of the ancient Greek term “adelphe” (sister) and the name of an other elcanid genus, Ellca Kočárek, 2020. It refers to the close resemblance of the two genera, differing mainly in the metatibial spur type and forewing size.
