Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

Latin for unexpected. The name refers to unexpected differences in the male titillators of this species compared to Anthracites furvuseques from Siargao Island despite the overall similarities in the morphology of the abdominal appendages (tenth abdominal tergite, cerci and subgenital plate).
