- Beier 1960 identifies the female syntype of Bliastes granosus as Xiphophyllum acuminatum (but gives, apparently erroneously, Geneva instead of Madrid as the depository and seems to confuse the exact localities as well); or is there more than 1 female syntype (Brunner von Wattenwyl has specimen from Cumbase (Coll. Bol.) and female (Mus. Brux))?.
