Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

Named in honor of the authors' friends Dr. Ernest R. and Mrs. Marion B. Tinkham of India, California, who have spent the greater part of their lives becoming familiar with the flora and fauna of the desert and contributing valuable scientific articles of their investigations. Most of the specimens used in the study of Aglaothorax were collect by Dr. Tinkham.
