Etymology:

Dedicated to Dr. Luis F. de Armas (Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática, La Habana, Cuba), a highly accomplished Cuban arachnologist, prolific researcher, author of most of the known Caribbean non-spider arachnids and the collector of this important specimen four decades ago.
