Etymology:

Named to honor H. Dick Brown, collector of half the material in this revision alone, whose contributions to African orthoptera research will continue on indefinitely thanks to his work with the South African National Collection of Insects (Pretoria), and the decades of adventures earning him the legendary status of one of the last great African "Locust Hunters." This species is chronologically the very first new Euloryma species Dr. Brown ever collected.
