Gender, form, and etymology
Etymology:
From Latin “stephano” meaning crown and “soltis” referring to the Soltis Center for Research and Education, the type locality of the species. Therefore, stephanosoltis means “Crown of Soltis” referring to the first king cricket ever described at the facility.
