Etymology:
Greek, οσρεπτός, adj. of στρέψις, streptos, strepsis, twisted; Greek, δάκτυλος, dactylos, finger. This epithet references the condition of the apical appendages of the male cercus, particularly when compared to other species of Pterodichopetala.
