Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

The specific epithet is derived from Tupi-Guarani. It is a combination of tukura, a term for grasshoppers and orthopterans, and una, meaning black, alluding to the distinctive dark brown to black coloration of the wings and body of the species. The name also honors the rich cultural and linguistic heritage of the Neotropical region, particularly the area of the Atlantic Forest biome inhabited by this new species.
