Gender, form, and etymology
Etymology:
The genus is dedicated to the memory of the great and legendary orthopterist Ted Cohn (1930–2012), who, together with his collaborators, conducted an impeccable revision of this group of katydids. Beyond his scientific contributions, he was a generous mentor, supporter, and source of inspiration for many orthopterists. His kindness, approachability, and unwavering passion for Orthoptera made him an esteemed colleague and an honorable man in every sense.
