Etymology:
The name cabocla is the feminine form of the word caboclo, which comes from the Brazilian indigenous language Tupi Guarani (kari’boka), meaning “coming from white”, referring to the miscegenation of natives and Europeans that originated the typical traditional population group of the northern region of Brazil.
