Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

From the Brazilian indigenous language Nheengatu: Ca meaning “forest” + panema meaning “unlucky”, used for difficult hunting grounds. Reference to the rarity of this katydid, with only one specimen found in an area widely collected for years.
